Founded in 1927, American Drew is a well-established, leading manufacturer of medium to upper-medium priced bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture.
American Drew's product collections cover a broad variety of style categories including traditional, transitional and contemporary. Our collections range from the legendary 18th Century traditional "Cherry Grove", celebrating its 42nd year of success, to the extremely popular "Bob Mackie Home Collection", influenced by the world-renowned fashion designer, Bob Mackie. "Jessica McClintock Home - The Romance Collection" debuted in October 2000 with 50 uniquely designed pieces of bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture. Fashion designer Jessica McClintock is known for her romantic formalwear and now the designer has extended that look with a home furnishings collection. American Drew's headquarters are located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our products are distributed through thousands of independently owned retailers throughout the United States and Canada and around the world.
The "Signature" collection brings a fresh twist to transitional styling to create a soft elegance incorporating a unique mixture of materials. The goal was to design the pieces in a lighter scale and concentrating on a veneer & finish story. The finish is a full filled finish with a rubbed appearance and a unique veneer story of Santos Rosewood, Primavera, Ebony, Walnut Burl, Mahogany and Cherry Veneers. As you can see we left nothing out of this spectacular group. There are ribbons and lace veneer inlays using primavera and mahogany, Custom designed hardware which is distinctly Mackie; drop tassel pulls, beaded detailed knobs to pierced collars & back plates that resemble jewelry and adds to the overall charm of this group. Black Absolute granite tops complement this collection. A 60” Round Signature table with a granite lazy susan and primavera veneers laid up to create a feathered motif; reminiscent of the fashion elements previously designed by Bob Mackie. The profile of these items resembles the way a designer gown drapes at the foot with the splayed bases that add depth and dimension to this fabulous new group. An over the top poster bed with brass pierced collars adds sex appeal to an already spectacular bed. In addition, American Drew (tm) will introduce Home Entertainment and other multi functional items. The size and scale of this collection accommodates practically any room of the home, from the gracious master bedroom, dining room, guest bedroom, casual dining area, living or den area. Whether you are looking for formal or unique casual elegance the new Bob Mackie Home “Signature” collection addresses it all. American Drew finishes are naturally resistant to minor everyday hazards and accidents; however, precautions are necessary to maintain the beauty of your wood furniture. Dust with a soft clean cloth slightly moistened with water, then dry completely with another clean cloth. Always rub in the direction of the wood grain. Keep cigarettes, hot dishes, moisture and harsh solvents such as nail polish and alcohol away from furniture. Do not place beverages directly on furniture. Use pads beneath accessories when writing or eating. Remove spills and smudges immediately. Pliable materials such as plastic or rubber should not be left on a wood surface; they can damage the finish. Furniture should not be placed near heat, outlets, windows, or in direct sunlight.
